Classically trained at Leiths school of food and wine, Corrina Watson has spent over 20 years working with food; under Tom Kerridge at the Michelin-starred Monsieur Max in London, Michael Caines in Bristol and in many other prestigious kitchens around the country.
Having returned to South Devon in 2015, Corrina joined the team at the well respected Almond Thief Bakery in Dartington. Living on a small hill farm on the southern tip of Dartmoor with her partner David Cole, a shepherd; NOMAD was created originally as a way to combine the lamb, hogget and mutton that the farm produced with Corrinas skill in the kitchen.
The Farm has grazing up to over 1000 feet above sea level, where Davids flock of South Welsh Mountain sheep are ideally suited to the rugged terrain and harsh conditions. The ewes spend their whole life on the moor, only coming in to the farm to have their lambs in the spring and to be sheared in the summer. Being a slower growing breed and only ever eating the wild permanent pasture of the moor, the meat that is produced has a much fuller flavour than any fast grown lowland animal.
